Visit the garden of medicinal plants … an oasis with incredible charm … a garden of reference for lovers of herbalism. A didactic discovery of some 250 medicinal plants on 500m2.

Lessines has always been a Mecca for the cultivation of medicinal plants and herbalism. The hospital Notre-Dame à la Rose features a beautiful garden of medicinal plants where it is good to wander. Better yet, if you are interested in plants and their benefits to health, beauty and well-being, you will find educational panels that, for each plant, will detail its usable part, its properties, indications and ways you how to use it, with in addition each time a small anecdote on the plant …. The garden also has a pretty rose garden.

FASCINATING MEDECINE OF YESTERYEAR
A unique exhibition on the history of medicine and pharmacy, from the 15th to 19th century.
Enema, trepanning kit, amputation saw … More than 300 instruments retrace the evolution and history of medicine, surgery and pharmacy, from the era of Ambroise Pare to Louis Pasteur. Travel back through time!
