Saturday 30 August from 4pm, in the farmyard of the Hôpital Notre-Dame à la Rose
To round off the exhibition Et si j’avais 20 ans en 1900 in style, the Hôpital Notre-Dame à la Rose and the Centre Culturel René Magritte invite you to a unique celebration.
Get ready to step back in time and plunge into the spellbinding atmosphere of the Roaring Twenties with LOVE & SWING: a big party where heritage flirts with music, theatre… and joie de vivre!
Bring the whole family – we’ve got plenty of entertainment for all ages, a bar and gourmet delights on site, and of course the chance to (re)discover our flagship exhibition Et si j’avais 20 ans en 1900 for the very last time: an unforgettable afternoon and evening in store!
The 1920s dress code is highly recommended: costumed visitors will be rewarded with something special!
ON THE PROGRAMME:
Dramatised tour of the exhibition Et si j’avais 20 ans en 1900 – 2.30pm (booking required, separate ticket)
A dramatised walk that will plunge you into the world of the proletariat and the bourgeoisie at the time of the Belle Epoque.
The farmyard celebrates – from 4pm
Old-fashioned games, tattoos, fairground stalls and foodtrucks for all ages.
Introduction to swing – 6pm
Let the Jazz Maniacs guide you and learn a few steps to shine on the dance floor!
Acrobatic show by the exhibition’s bride and groom – 8pm
A touch of madness, a touch of romance, and some twirling artists in a surprise mini-show.
Live concert – The Viper’s Rhythm Band – 8.30pm
The Viper’s Rhythm Band will be rocking the farmyard as the evening gets underway!
DJ Set until the end of the night – 10.30pm
We’re extending the party with a retro-futuristic mix, spanning the musical eras from the 1920s to the present day. An exclusive DJ Set by Global Event Production.
